Plain-language summary. You can use Rewritelyapp if you wrote your draft. You own your documents. We won’t train on them. You won’t resell our output. We won’t generate content for you. Either of us can cancel any time, and you get a 14-day money-back guarantee.

1. Who can use Rewritelyapp

You must be at least 16 and have the legal right to enter contracts in your jurisdiction. If you’re using Rewritelyapp on behalf of an institution, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

2. Your content

You own everything you submit and everything we produce as output. We do not claim any ownership over your documents or polishes. We need a limited license only to run the polish, nothing more.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use Rewritelyapp to fabricate, plagiarize, or otherwise misrepresent academic work.
Attempt to make Rewritelyapp generate content from prompts. The product refuses this, but circumvention attempts violate these terms.
Resell Rewritelyapp’s output as a generative writing service.
Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract our model.
Submit content that infringes third-party rights or violates law.

4. Subscriptions and one-shots

Subscriptions auto-renew at the listed price each period until you cancel. You can cancel from your billing page any time and continue using the plan until the period ends. One-shot purchases (statement polish, paper polish, word packs) are one-time charges with no recurring component.

5. Refunds

14-day money-back on any purchase, no reason required. Email hello@rewritelyapp.com from the account’s registered email.

6. Service-level commitment

We target 99.9% monthly availability for the polish service. If we miss it, paid users get a pro-rated credit applied to the next billing period, automatically.

7. Termination

Either of us can terminate at any time. If we terminate, we’ll give you 30 days’ notice and let you export everything (unless termination is for a clear violation of these terms). If you terminate, we delete your data within 7 days.

8. Disclaimers

Rewritelyapp is provided ‘as is’. We make no guarantee about a specific outcome (admission, publication, grant). The detection-preview feature is a best-effort indicator, not a guarantee that any specific detector will judge your text as human-written.

9. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are exclusively settled in the courts of London, UK, subject to your mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We’ll announce material changes 30 days in advance via email. The current version is always at this URL. Past versions are archived on our changelog.
